Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Victoria where she majored in both Psychology and Pre Medical Sciences.

She began working in natural health care along side a group of Naturopaths in 1990 assisting patients with nutritional and digestive concerns. Her experiences lead her to further her studies in natural medicine and healing techniques and in turn to study and graduate from Canada’s first full time TCM school, The Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, in Victoria, in 1993.

Having trained in 1989 as a fitness instructor with BCRPA and then participating in several triathlons and a marathon, she was inspired to increase her training in specific techniques to address musculoskeletal pain, muscle imbalance and sports injuries. Her passion for the mechanics of our body continue to inspire her interest and ongoing study with many of the world’s greatest teachersIn 2000, she trained as a Doula and worked with midwives and maternity physicians supporting and attending numerous births in Victoria. She and a group of colleagues were the first to introduce acupuncture into the hospitals in Victoria where she combined her skills and compassion as a labour assistant, acupuncturist, and mother of three.
